welcome to the blog

if you've known me since middle school (very few of you so, hey) you may have remembered that this is not my first attempt at a blog. in fact, i think it's my third. if you're into astrology allegedly my aries-ness explains my frequent starting of new personal projects and inability to finish them. this tracks immensely. so, why round 3?

i recently found an answer to whenever people ask me the agonizing question "what are your hobbies? what do you like to do for fun?" (PSA: don't ask people that if you want to be their friend, especially after 12 months in quarantine, it's not a fair question). nonetheless, i have an answer! and that answer is film photography. i bought a film camera for myself in the winter of 2020, inspired by my friend Anthony's beautiful photos he brought home from studying abroad. it's a pentax k100, with a fixed lense and practically no settings. a great beginner camera and gorgeously vintage, but after a few blank rolls i think its time to upgrade the hardware.

this is my place to share those photos, my adventures surrounding them, things i love, things i care about, and hopefully my work as a freelance social media manager (eventually). this past year has been a very complex combination of the very best and very worst emotions, and now that the world is slowly becoming vaccinated and i feel like i can soon do the many things that are on my bucket list for my early 20's, i wanted somewhere to document it all.

i will really try to keep this one up to date, i promise. and if not... i blame it on the star sign
